Structural engineering firm in Montreal

About GC4I

GC4I Inc. is a structural engineering firm based in Montreal. We assess, calculate and design the elements that hold buildings up: foundations, walls, beams, columns, floors and frames.

We founded GC4I after years in the field, with a simple conviction: a client should understand what the engineer observes, what they recommend and why. It's the engineering firm we would have wanted to hire ourselves, technically rigorous and clear in its explanations.

Our way of working

Every assignment follows the same thread, from the first call to construction follow-up when you need it.

  • Listen: understand the question, the building and the deadline you're facing.
  • Observe on site: surveys, measurements and photos, before any conclusion.
  • Analyze: trace the load path, check by calculation, establish the probable causes.
  • Explain: findings and recommendations written clearly, and presented in person when needed.
  • Sign and seal: reports and plans for which the engineer takes professional responsibility.
  • Follow up: answer the contractor and visit the site at key stages, if the assignment includes it.
